The series of coins devoted to San Marino architecture and to the Municipalities (Castelli) ends in 2016. The 20 euro coin represents a particular detail of a fountain in Fiorentino, located in Piazza XII October and placed on a concrete wall of brick with semicircular shape which replaces the old fountain cover. The work was designed by Architect Gino Zani, grandson of Engineer Gino Zani. The 50 euro coin depicts the Church of Saint John the Baptist in Chiesanuova, built of San Marino sandstone in 1961, based on a design by Engineer Gino Zani. The façade, in neo-roman style, is marked by an elegant colonnade with five arcades and a beautiful rose window over the three entrance gates. In the presbitery two bas-reliefs depict the "Beheading of Saint John the Baptist".
